Spring is in the air! In late April to early May - depending on the weather - the elusive, delicious morel mushroom will begin to make its appearance. Trout fishing season opens in April. Our neighbors in Kalkaska will celebrate the annual National Trout Festival April 22-26, 2026. Mancelona celebrates the annual Mancelona Bass Festival May 21-24, 2026 (this is a week earlier this year). Mancelona High School's Class of 2026 commencement will be Friday, May 29, at 5:00 p.m.
On Monday, May 25, Mancelona's MEMORIAL DAY PARADE will begin, downtown, at 9:00 a.m. Please follow this link for parade details.
